They are cared for and protected from the first minute.

Sleepless nights next to the whelping box, watching carefully to make sure the little ones aren't missing anything. Supplement every two hours if mommy's milk is not enough, the litter is very large or a puppy needs special care.

They develop rapidly and blind, helpless babies become clumsy puppies that run through the garden at full speed a few days later.

Bit by bit the little ones are shown the world, always a bit more according to their age and as a thank you they are given so much puppy love.

... and then it's here, the day of farewell.

Snuggle the puppy to sleep one last time, thinking about tomorrow when excited puppy parents will hug their new family member.

With every puppy goes a part of my heart but we are forever connected.
